Veterinary Referrals

Below is the link to our referral form, which outlines the laboratory diagnostics required prior to treatment. If the pet requires additional testing, please contact the owner to schedule accordingly.

Referral Form

For quick reference, here are the key criteria to determine if a patient is a candidate for treatment at The Cat Thyroid Center:

  • Vaccination Requirements: All patients must be up-to-date on Rabies and FVRCP vaccines or have a valid exemption.

  • Sedation: Patients requiring sedation are NOT candidates for treatment at our center.

  • Gabapentin Protocol: All patients must arrive on Gabapentin and be sent with a 10-day supply.

  • Normal Functions: Patients must be eating, urinating, and defecating normally, without the aid of medication.

  • Infectious Illnesses: Patients must be free of any infectious conditions, including respiratory infections.

  • Cardiac Health: Patients with cardiovascular abnormalities or a heart murmur grade 4 or higher will need an echocardiogram performed by a cardiologist.

Please ensure you’ve reviewed our referral form thoroughly before starting any diagnostics or testing.
