Diane was raised in Ruskin. She grew up in a loving family that was surrounded by a wide range of animals. In 1997, she married Michael Cooper and moved to North Carolina where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from UNC-Pembroke. She and her husband and their four legged children lived in Los Angeles, CA for four years and moved back to the Tampa Bay area in 2003 to join Ruskin Animal Hospital. She loves interacting with clients and helping animals but admits the best part of working at Ruskin Animal Hospital is working with her father, Dr. Hal Ott. When he decided to practice exclusively at The Cat Thyroid Center she was quick to follow. She has found helping hyperthyroid cats, through I-131 therapy, to be very gratifying and rewarding. When she is not working she enjoys reading, cooking, growing orchids, and especially spending quality time with her husband and daughter.
